Freelance activity registration

Georgia is a great destination for remote workers and freelancers, offering a flexible work environment and tax benefits. Registering as a freelancer (Individual Entrepreneur – IE) allows you to run a business and even hire employees.

Why Register as a Freelancer?

  • Legal Compliance – If you're self-employed and conducting business in the territory of Georgia, registration ensures compliance with tax laws. The flat tax rate is 20%, or 1% if you qualify for small business status. (see our guide to check if you qualify for small business status)

  • Tax Benefits – Only registered freelancers can qualify for small business taxpayer status.
